Mode of Intake
We, at XYZ believe in seeing the end before we begin and with that note have listed a few tips for our determined smoker friends on how you can derive the most out of Chantix. Chantix is sold in the market as a white tablet (0.5 mg) and a blue tablet (1mg) with a dominant chemical component being varenicline tartrate. Smoker's generally begin with the white tablet and move on to the blue tablet.
- Select a date when you would like to say good bye to smoking.
- Be pro-active and begin with Chantix a week prior to your quit date. This allows a good amount of Chantix to build within. You could, if you want to, continue to smoke in the meanwhile as long as you use a bit of determination to quit smoking on the selected date. If you're empted uncontrollably, don't you worry try again. Some people need Chantix® to work for a few weeks before it can give results.
- Chantix must be taken on full stomach with a full glass of water.
- The usual dose for Chantix® is 12 weeks. Most smokers quit by then, but it wouldn't harm you if with your doctor's permission you took it for another 12 weeks, to keep you cigarette-free, go ahead.
- Be with the likeminded. Hanging around with other smoking quitters could help you stay motivated in your pursuit. You could also be a part of the Free Pfizer Get-QuitT program which offers you a full year of support to help you quit smoking. (See T&C)
- Use caution when driving or operating machinery till you're used to the effects of Chantix.
- Suppose you miss a dose, avoid taking the missed dose it if it is close to the next dose.
